Since 2019, I've had the privilege of helping bright students in grades 3-9 transform from struggling readers into confident learners. As an Orton-Gillingham specialist based in Montreal, QC, I bring a unique perspective to literacy instruction—particularly for bilingual students.
Being fluent in English and French, with conversational Spanish, I understand firsthand how bilingual brains process language differently. I've worked with students across the full spectrum: from those just learning to write basic letters, to capable readers falling through the cracks in subtle but significant ways.
What sets my approach apart:
Beyond literacy instruction, I'm committed to building trusting relationships with every student. Because OG tutoring is ongoing and consistent, our sessions become a safe space where kids can learn, make mistakes, and grow without judgment—something especially crucial for students who've experienced frustration, low self-esteem, or even bullying around their reading struggles.
Each student receives fully individualized lesson plans, ongoing assessment, and materials tailored to their specific needs. I intentionally limit my caseload so every child gets the focused attention and consistent support they deserve. At the moment, I have availability for 2 students.
I look forward to meeting you and learning about your child's unique learning profile.
